Privacy policy
Last updated July 2026. Short version: cooy is not built to collect your data, because it does not need any.
Files
Files transfer directly between your browser and the receiver's browser over a peer to peer connection. They are never uploaded to or stored on a cooy server. Once the transfer finishes or the tab closes, the file is gone from cooy's side, because it was never there.
Connection setup
To let two browsers find each other for internet mode, a signaling step briefly exchanges connection information (like temporary peer IDs). This is only used to establish the direct link and is not used to read or store file contents.
Cookies and tracking
cooy does not use cookies or third-party ad trackers. We don't run analytics beyond whatever basic request logs our hosting provider keeps as standard practice, and we don't access those logs to identify individuals.
Payments
Support contributions go through your own UPI app. cooy does not process, store, or see your payment details.
